There are several functions in which the Auditor’s Office interacts with the public, including vehicle/vessel licensing and document recording services. In each of these functions, we will pursue a customer-centric mentality that prioritizes the needs of the resident walking into our office. A key aspect of this effort will be planning and executing a complete overhaul of the Auditor’s website to increase transparency and accessibility across all functions of the office.

As Kittitas County Auditor, I will provide engaged leadership and support to our Budget and Finance professionals while ensuring that we meet our statutory requirements and deadlines. We will accomplish this while pursuing increased transparency and always looking for innovative ways to be more efficient with the taxpayer’s hard-earned dollars.
As County Auditor, I will:
- Ensure our Budget and Finance professionals meet statutory requirements and deadlines
- Improve transparency into how county government uses taxpayer’s hard-earned dollars
- Support the Budget and Finance staff as they work collaboratively across departments to develop long term strategies for strengthening the financial health of the county
If elected, I will review current election security processes. Specifically, I will review our physical security measures to ensure that only authorized personnel can access ballots. I will maintain the practices that work well, such as our robust signature audits, while exploring new ways to include residents in observing and assisting in the elections process. Lastly, I will use my role as a subject matter expert to influence good policy at the state level that enhances the security and integrity of our elections.
