As your County Auditor, Bryan has:
- Increased Payment Accessibility: Modernized document recording services by implementing credit card processing, providing a convenient payment method for thousands of residents.
- Overhauled Digital Access: Spearheaded continuous improvements to the Auditor’s website and is currently collaborating with County IT to launch a completely redesigned, user-friendly platform. Bryan also successfully partnered with title industry experts to complete the digitization of all county records.
- Prioritized the Resident Experience: Instilled a customer-centric culture that prioritizes ‘getting to yes’ for our residents. Despite a significant increase in unfunded mandates and complex regulatory requirements from the state, Bryan has successfully managed the increased workload through process innovation without adding new staff to our customer-facing functions.
As County Auditor, Bryan has provided engaged leadership to our Budget and Finance professionals, ensuring Kittitas County not only meets but exceeds our statutory requirements. He successfully led the historic, county-wide modernization of our financial software system, bringing it online, while under budget and providing a more efficient, transparent way to track every taxpayer dollar.

- Delivered Three Years of Timely, Successful Audits: Achieved three consecutive years of timely, accurate annual audits with $0 in questioned costs from the State Auditor’s Office.
- Modernized Financial Infrastructure: Successfully oversaw the transition to a new, unified financial system that streamlines operations and processes.
- Strengthened Internal Controls: Collaborated across county departments to improve financial safeguards and policies that protect against waste and mismanagement.
Since taking office in 2022, Bryan has leveraged over $100k in state and federal grant funds to enhance the security and transparency of the Kittitas County Election Center. His leadership and investments ensure that every legal vote is counted while increasing opportunities for public interaction.
As your County Auditor, Bryan has:
- Hardened Physical & Cyber Security: Leveraged strategic grant funding to upgrade the Election Center’s physical and cyber security infrastructure, ensuring that only authorized personnel have access to ballots.
- Launched 24/7 Transparency: Installed live-view cameras in the Election Center, allowing resident to observe the elections process in real-time, 24 hours a day, from anywhere in the world.
- Strengthened Signature Audits: Maintained and refined our robust signature verification processes to ensure the highest level of accuracy and fraud prevention.
- Led at the State Level: Utilized his position within the Washington State Association of County Auditors (WSACA) to advocate for common-sense policies that enhance the security and integrity of elections across the entire state.
